Ogilvy & Mather Beijing
Ogilvy & Mather's Beijing Office was refurbished in 2015 by the Interior Designers Robarts Spaces. The project mostly presents bold interior design statements and lighting was designed to emphasise rather than to be the highlight in itself. It is only in areas of exposed ceilings that a lighting graphic element is introduced. Inspired by a variety of interior design elements, a suspended hexagon structure was created to install LED battens. A graphic pattern was then overlayed onto the hexagon base. This allowed the lighting fixture quantity to be reduced and better control lighting levels. Philip Rafael was the lead designer and managed this project as part of his work as Associate Director at Studio Illumine.
